The 20mm F2 DG DN Contemporary achieves the highest level of optical performance at a maximum aperture of 2.0 from the center to the periphery of the image. Based on the latest optical design technology, the lens construction consists of three high-precision glass-molded aspherical lenses, one SLD glass element, and one FLD glass element to suppress aberrations to a high degree. This enables clear and sharp images from all corners of a wide angle of view. In addition, the lens focuses on suppressing sagittal coma flare, which is difficult to correct in post-processing, to achieve a high level of point image reproducibility. This allows for detailed rendering of night and starry night scenes across the entire image area. In addition to a design that takes flare and ghosting into consideration, the lens features Super Multi-Layer Coating and Nano-Porous Coating (NPC). The lens is suitable for all kinds of shooting situations thanks to its excellent backlight resistance.
