Product Features
Ultra wide-angle 20mm start for performance in a wide range of scenes, standard zoom lens that opens up new areas of photography
Interchangeable lens for full-frame mirrorless SLR camera L-mount system
- Dynamic photographic and video expression from an ultra-wide angle of 20mm
At the ultra-wide-angle 20mm wide end, a wide range of photography is possible, including indoor events and table photography, as well as landscape photography with an emphasis on perspective. The 20mm wide-angle lens can capture a wider range of subjects in a limited space, making it suitable for a wide variety of shooting situations. The wide shooting range of 20 mm (ultra-wide angle) to 60 mm (standard range) makes it ideal for travel and city snapshots.
In video recording, the ultra-wide angle can be utilized to produce dynamic video expression, enabling impressive video recording in a variety of video genres, such as vlogs (video blogs) and documentaries.
Lens performance is enhanced by the optimal arrangement and configuration of two aspherical lenses, three ED lenses, and one UHR lens to provide excellent descriptive performance throughout the entire zoom range, as well as high-speed, high-precision AF with 240 AF control cycles per second using a stepping motor.
- Macro photography with a minimum focus distance of 15cm* to expand the range of expression
Although a standard zoom lens, it is capable of macro photography with a minimum focusing distance of 15cm (*focal length: 20-26mm). The maximum magnification is 0.43x (*at 26mm focal length), which provides a shallow depth of field and large bokeh effect, making it easy to create impressive images of familiar subjects such as plants, pets, and small objects.
(*When shooting near the minimum focusing distance on the wide-angle side, image quality on the periphery deteriorates.)
- Compact and lightweight, dustproof, drip-proof* and low-temperature resistant for high mobility
Full-size L-mount system Compact design with small size and light weight in standard zoom lenses for S-series lenses. The lens is dustproof and drip-proof* to allow photographers to concentrate on shooting in the field, and is designed to withstand temperatures as low as -10°C to allow shooting in snowy mountains and other cold climates, providing high mobility and support for a variety of shooting situations.
The front surface of the lens is coated with a fluorine coating to prevent dirt from adhering to the lens surface, and if it does adhere, it can be easily removed.
(*When mounted on our dustproof and drip-proof camera bodies. Although the lens is designed to be dustproof and drip-proof, it does not completely prevent dust and water droplets from entering the lens.)
