This 100-400mm telephoto zoom lens meets Leica's strict optical standards and achieves F2.8-4.0 "ELMARIT" brightness.
The lens is composed of 21 elements in 15 groups, including two aspherical lens elements, and delivers excellent image quality characteristics throughout the entire zoom range, enabling high image quality photography in situations where telephoto is required, from snapshots to wildlife and sports.

This lens meets Leica's strict optical standards and achieves the brightness of F2.8-4.0 "ELMARIT", allowing you to enjoy beautiful bokeh out-of-focus effects. The lens features two aspherical lens elements and two UED lens elements, which are optimally positioned to provide excellent descriptive performance throughout the entire zoom range. In addition, the use of nano-surface coating reduces ghosting and flare.
- Telephoto zoom lens covering the range from 100mm(*1) to 400mm(*1) and also compatible with a teleconverter*.
The telephoto 100mm(*1) to 400mm(*1) zoom lens allows you to shoot everything from snapshots to distant wildlife and sports photography. With the optional 1.4x teleconverter (*2) attached, you can shoot at 560mm (*1), and with the optional 2.0x teleconverter (*3), you can enjoy ultra-telephoto shooting up to 800mm (*1). The large F2.8 aperture and high resolution also make it possible to enjoy portraits and movie shooting. Lightweight and compact, the lens is dustproof, drip-proof (*4), and resistant to low temperatures (-10°C). The camera is also compatible with Dual I.S. 2, which optimally controls the image stabilization of both the body and lens, enabling flashless shooting in dark locations and hand-held shooting at telephoto distances.

The latest optical design minimizes minute changes in the angle of view during AF search and peripheral image distortion during image stabilization during 4K video recording. The camera also supports high-speed, high-precision contrast AF driven at 240 fps to firmly capture the subject in a wide range of shooting scenes, and improved AF tracking performance allows the camera to track even fast-moving subjects. In addition, even in scenes with large brightness changes, the smooth control of f-stop changes reduces exposure changes and supports stable exposure control even when zooming.
