The Model A062 is Tamron's new large-aperture standard zoom lens that is the smallest and lightest in its class at 86.5mm in length and 365g in weight, while achieving a large-aperture F2.8 lens covering the entire zoom range from 20mm to 40mm.
The telephoto side covers the standard range up to 40mm, which is convenient for everyday use such as snapshots, portraits, and table photos. On the other hand, by setting the wide-angle side to 20mm, the lens allows users to enjoy a wide range of photography, such as magnificent and powerful natural landscapes with perspective, which cannot be expressed with conventional large-aperture standard zoom lenses starting at 24mm.

The lightweight and compact Model A062 is well balanced and can be handled well even when attached to a camera grip or gimbal for video shooting. With this single lens, you can shoot everything from city scenes to expansive landscapes and wide-open background self portraits on your travels.

The lens construction consists of 12 elements in 11 groups, including four LD (Low Dispersion) lenses, two GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) lenses, and one composite lens, all made with special glass materials to achieve both high image quality and a compact body across the entire zoom range. The beautifully soft bokeh and ball bokeh that only a large-aperture F2.8 lens can produce are also attractive.

- High-speed, high-precision AF with VXD
The VXD linear motor focus mechanism is used for AF drive. The high-speed, high-precision AF provides excellent responsiveness to the photographer's intent, enabling stress-free, comfortable focusing from minimum focus distance to infinity, even with large aperture lenses. The AF also has excellent focus tracking performance for moving subjects, allowing the photographer to capture important moments without missing them. The low motor noise and quiet operation also make it ideal for taking still images and movies in quiet environments.

- Wide macro shooting with a minimum focusing distance of 0.17 m at the wide-angle end and a maximum magnification of 1:3.8.

- Zoom rotation angle of 65° for smooth, non-stop shooting
