With a maximum magnification of 1.25x (equivalent to 2.5x in 35mm film format) and a minimum focusing distance of 95mm (14mm from the lens tip), this class-leading macro shooting function allows you to easily achieve unprecedented magnified expressions. At the closest point of view, the lens can capture an image 13.9 x 10.4 mm in size, allowing you to express a new world of expression, such as magnifying the stamen of a flower.
High-power macro photography is susceptible to camera shift shake. Combined with an OM-D or PEN equipped with an in-body 5-axis image stabilization mechanism that addresses shift shake, you can enjoy high-magnification photography with even less blur.

High-speed AF even in the macro range
The MSC (Movie & Still Compatible) mechanism is used for faster and quieter autofocusing for still images and movies. By reducing the weight of the focus lens group, AF time is reduced by 20-30%.
The faster AF speed ensures that you will never miss a shutter opportunity, even in the macro range. The inner focus lens does not change its length, so the lens does not extend and hit the subject.
