FUJINON Lens XF16mmF1.4 R WR, the world's first*1 large aperture single-focal length lens with a wide-angle focal length of 24mm (35mm film camera equivalent) and a maximum aperture of 1.4, enables close-up shooting down to 15cm

- High resolution from the corners of the image to the maximum aperture
・The lens is composed of 13 elements in 11 groups, with two aspherical lenses and two ED (anomalous dispersion) lenses. The optical design effectively corrects distortion and chromatic aberration, resulting in sharp images from shooting at the maximum F-number.
・The optical system suppresses distortion rather than digitally correcting it, resulting in high-resolution images from the corners of the image to the edges.
・The entire surface of the lens is coated with our proprietary HT-EBC (High Transmittance Electron Beam Coatings). The proprietary nano GI (Gradient Index) coating technology (*2) is also used to effectively reduce flare and ghosting even when the light is incident at an angle. The lens offers a high degree of freedom in shooting angles, making it ideal for use in all kinds of situations.

- Minimum focusing distance of 15cm expands the range of expression in wide-angle photography
・The minimum shooting distance of 15cm expands the range of expression in wide-angle photography. This allows you to take close-up shots of the main subject and frame them with a large background, further broadening your range of expression. By using close-up photography, you can also take advantage of the rich bokeh effect to create more impressive and powerful photographic expressions than ever before.
・The “Floating Focus System,” which divides the lens into two focus groups and drives them in tandem according to the shooting distance, corrects various aberrations and achieves high descriptive performance even when shooting close-ups at a minimum shooting distance of 15cm.

- High-speed AF with a maximum speed of 0.11 seconds (*3)
・The rear-focusing system (*4) is used to achieve high-speed AF. Combined with the DC Coreless Motor, which has high power to drive the lens, the fastest AF speed of 0.11 sec. is achieved, enabling comfortable shooting for snapshots and portraits.

- Equipped with a focus ring engraved with a distance indicator
・The focus ring is equipped with an engraved distance indicator, ideal for snapshots. This is ideal for photographers who measure the distance to the subject and manually focus on the subject using the distance indicator as a guide. The aperture can also be set using the depth-of-field indicator engraved on the lens barrel as a guide, ensuring that you never miss a shutter release opportunity.

- Dustproof, drip-proof, and -10°C low-temperature resistant construction
・The lens barrel is dustproof, drip-proof, and resistant to temperatures as low as -10°C (-22°F), with sealing at eight locations on each part of the barrel. Combined with the FUJIFILM X-T1, a premium mirrorless camera designed to be dustproof, drip-proof, and resistant to low temperatures, the X-T1 supports shooting in any situation.

- Light weight of approx. 375g and compact size
・The lens is lightweight at approximately 375g and compact in size with a filter diameter of 67mm. Compared to lenses for SLR cameras with full-size sensors that have the same focal length and F value as this lens, it is approximately 40% lighter (*5), significantly reducing the burden on the photographer.
