Basic Information

Model No. FGF55MMF1.7RWR

Product Features

Large aperture single-focus lens with a standard 55mm focal length (equivalent to 44mm in 35mm format).
The rich descriptive power of large-format lenses and the large, beautiful bokeh effect achieved by the large aperture allow for a crisp and clear expression that brings the subject into sharp relief.

- Beautiful bokeh and high resolution

The lens construction consists of 14 elements in 10 groups, including two ED lenses and two aspherical lenses. This lens configuration provides the soft and beautiful bokeh effect that can only be achieved with large-aperture lenses.
The aspherical lens is positioned behind the aperture to optimize spherical aberration and soften the rear bokeh. In addition, another aspherical lens is placed at the rear of the lens to achieve high resolution performance all the way to the periphery.
The lens group of the focus lens is composed of eight elements, including one aspherical lens and two ED lenses, to achieve high resolution performance throughout the entire focusing range. This produces soft and beautifully contoured bokeh.
The lens is composed of one high refractive index lens used in cinema lenses that reduces aberrations, one in the front element and one in the focus group. This suppresses spherical aberration and achieves high resolution performance regardless of the focus position.
The 11-blade diaphragm, which realizes a near-circular aperture shape, is used for the first time in a GF lens. This enhances the circularity of the bokeh effect even when the aperture is slightly stopped down, allowing photographers to enjoy beautiful bokeh effects in a wide range of situations.

- Free shooting with a large aperture at standard focal lengths

With a standard focal length of 55mm (equivalent to 44mm on a 35mm film camera), the lens can be used in any situation. With a maximum aperture of 1.7, the large aperture allows you to enjoy portrait photography that highlights the subject, snapshots that capture the casualness of everyday life, and street photography that captures the relationship between the subject and the background.

- Advanced DC motor-driven AF function to capture subjects quickly and accurately

The DC motor precisely controls the 10-group, 14-element lens. Even in scenes that require advanced focusing, the subject can be captured quickly and precisely to ensure that the decisive moment is not missed.

- Dustproof, drip-proof, and -10°C low-temperature resistant construction for high practicality

The lens barrel is sealed at nine locations to prevent dust and drips, and is resistant to temperatures as low as -10°C. The lens barrel is also sealed at nine locations to prevent dust and drips, and is resistant to temperatures as low as -10°C. The lens barrel is sealed in nine locations to provide dustproof, drip-proof, and -10°C low-temperature resistance.
The use of an aspherical lens with ultra-high precision and optimum lens arrangement enables a large-aperture lens with a maximum aperture of 1.7 mm and a weight of approximately 780 g and an overall length of approximately 99.3 mm. This reduces the burden of carrying the lens on the camera and allows the photographer to enjoy shooting with mobility as a standard lens.
