Basic Information

Product name Tokina atx-i 11-20mm F2.8 CF PLUS for Nikon F [Nikon F / zoom lens]
Model No. ATXI1120MMF2.8

Product Features
Two large-aperture ultra-wide-angle zoom lenses from Tokina's atx-i series of lenses for SLR cameras are now available in the PLUS series.
This group of lenses has many loyal users for video shooting and starscape photography.
The atx-i 11-16mm F2.8 CF PLUS is more compact with a filter size of 77mm and is for those who focus on the wide side.
The atx-i 11-20mm F2.8 CF PLUS has a larger filter size of 82mm, but it covers 20mm (up to 30mm in 35mm format) and is useful for snapshots.

[Features]
- Large F2.8 aperture covers a wide range of ultra wide-angle to wide-angle range
The 11-20mm covers the 18mm, 21mm, 24mm, and 28mm (35mm format equivalent) angle-of-view ranges with an F2.8 aperture, giving it a range of use equivalent to four single focal length lenses.
This angle-of-view range is also convenient for use with a standard zoom lens with an F2.8 maximum aperture class.
By limiting the 11-16mm lens to a wider angle of view, it achieves a smaller filter size of 77mm.

- Popular Lenses for Movie Shooting
The lens has a focal length equivalent to several single focal length lenses, which is powerful for movie shooting, and achieves a maximum aperture of 2.8, which is unmatched among ultra-wide-angle zoom lenses exclusively for APS-C.
Low distortion, high resolution at the periphery, and good color balance provide descriptive performance that is clearly different from conventional VTR lenses.
With a bright maximum aperture of 2.8 and excellent manual focus operability, this lens is gaining popularity for video shooting.

- GMR Sensor (High-precision magnetic sensor)
A high-resolution GMR sensor is mounted in the AF control sensor to achieve quick AF speed through high-precision focus control.

- One-touch focus clutch
The one-touch focus clutch mechanism prevents the focus ring from rotating during AF.
By simply pulling the focus ring toward you, you can instantly switch to manual focus.
This one-touch focus clutch mechanism is effective for video shooting where manual focus is frequently used.
Pressing the focus ring toward the front of the lens enables autofocusing, while pulling the focus ring toward you allows you to shoot with manual focus for a firm response.

- Example of attachment to a mirrorless camera
The lens can be used with the latest mirrorless cameras by using a genuine camera manufacturer's mount adapter for mirrorless cameras.

- Adoption of WR Coating
The front of the lens is coated with WR Coating (water-repellent and oil-repellent coating) to easily wipe off not only water droplets but also fingerprints and sebum stains.

- High resolution and low frame curvature to the periphery
The use of Tokina's proprietary P-MO aspherical lens in the front group ideally corrects distortion and other aberrations.
Furthermore, the use of SD glass eliminates chromatic aberration.

- Rubber sealing around the outer circumference of the mount
The outer circumference of the mount is rubber-sealed to protect the area where the lens is mounted from dust and drips.

- Focus Ring Rotation Direction
The focus ring has a moderate torque for precise focusing during manual focusing.
It is also suitable for expressing focus movement during movie shooting.
The direction of rotation of the focus ring is aligned with that of genuine Nikon and Canon lenses, allowing operation without discomfort.
