The autofocus drive system uses a stepping motor optimized for both phase detection AF and contrast AF. This enables not only comfortable shooting unique to mirrorless cameras, such as face/pupil priority AF, but also downsizing of the entire lens body by constructing a focus lens with a small diameter suitable for the stepping motor. Furthermore, by actively utilizing the camera's in-body correction function, we can focus on correcting aberrations that can be handled by the optical system alone, leading to further downsizing of the lens body.

The Focus Mode Switch on the body and the AFL button*, which can be assigned any function from the camera, also support shooting.
