Product Features
- World's first*, F2-2.8 large-aperture zoom lens
The 35-150mm F2-2.8 achieves a brighter maximum aperture of F2 at a focal length of 35mm compared to typical large-aperture zoom lenses with a full F2.8 aperture. It allows users to enjoy large, beautiful bokeh effects even at the wide-angle side. The brightness of this lens is also a great advantage when you want to minimize camera shake at fast shutter speeds or noise generation at low ISO sensitivity.

- Focal length of 35-150mm for seamless shooting from semi-wide-angle to telephoto
With a distinctive focal length ranging from 35mm to 150mm, the 35-150mm F2-2.8 is the ideal focal length zoom lens for portrait photography, allowing you to use a single lens to take bust close-up shots at 85mm, full-body shots at 35mm, facial expression close-ups at 150mm, and more. With a simple operation of the zoom ring, you can seamlessly and at a high tempo continue shooting from semi-wide-angle to telephoto without having to change lenses, ensuring that you never miss a shutter chance.
- High optical performance throughout the entire zoom range
The 35-150mm F2-2.8 boasts outstanding optical performance throughout the entire zoom range, thanks to a state-of-the-art optical design that balances four special glass LD (Low Dispersion) lenses with three GM (glass molded aspherical) lenses to minimize light dispersion. Even when used in combination with high-resolution digital cameras, the lens delivers stable high image quality all the way to the periphery of the image, and also produces the beautifully soft bokeh effect that only a large-aperture lens can produce. The 50mm focal length, which is a staple for snapshots, the 85mm focal length in the mid-telephoto range, which is often used for portraits, and the 100mm and 135mm focal lengths can also be used to capture excellent images.
- VXD for high-speed, high-precision AF
The VXD linear motor focus mechanism is used for AF drive. The high-level AF speed and precision provide excellent responsiveness to the photographer's intent, enabling stress-free and comfortable focusing from the minimum shooting distance to infinity, even with large-aperture lenses. The lens also has excellent focus tracking performance for moving subjects, allowing the photographer to capture the moment without missing a shot, even in portrait photography. The low motor noise and quiet operation also make it ideal for taking still images and movies in quiet environments.
- High proximity shooting capability for a wide variety of creative works
The 35-150mm F2-2.8's minimum focusing distance is 0.33m at the 35mm wide-angle end, and the maximum magnification is 1:5.7. Not only can you concentrate on shooting without worrying about the distance to the subject, but you can also take advantage of the brightness of the large F2-F2.8 aperture to create a large blurred background while capturing a large subject.
