A large-aperture super-telephoto lens with a built-in teleconverter that delivers high-resolution, beautiful bokeh for both still and moving images, as well as high-speed, high-precision autofocus.

The lens features Mesoamorphous Coat, a new coating with the highest anti-reflection effect in the history of NIKKOR lenses, and the synergistic effect of Arneo Coat, which produces clear, crisp images even in backlit conditions. The AF drive motor is also equipped with a new motor for the AF drive.

In addition, for the AF drive motor, Nikon has adopted the Silky Swift VCM (SSVCM), which combines a proprietary Nikon-developed VCM (voice coil motor) and "guide mechanism" to achieve high-speed, high-precision, and even quieter AF control than before.

Furthermore, the built-in teleconverter that expands the focal length by 1.4 times and the size and lightweight body designed to be carried on board an aircraft allow the lens to demonstrate high mobility in a wide range of scenes and support professional image expression.
