Particular attention was paid to suppressing sagittal coma flare, which cannot be covered by the camera body's own correction, and point image reproduction was also improved. In addition to suppressing two-line bokeh at the periphery of the image, flare and ghosting countermeasures, which were verified from the initial design stage, and the use of Super Multi-Layer Coating and Nano-Porous Coating (NPC), contribute to particularly high backlighting performance near the maximum aperture.
