The use of new special low-dispersion (ED) glass and anomalous-low-dispersion glass allows for excellent correction of various aberrations and greatly reduces the occurrence of purple fringing. The use of the high-performance multi-coating "HD Coating," which suppresses the average reflectance in the visible light range to approximately 50% or less compared to the conventional coating, and the FREE (Focusing with Separated Rear Group) system thoroughly suppresses ghosting and flare and produces clear, high-quality images from infinity to close range.
