This 16.6x* zoom lens offers the highest magnification available in an interchangeable lens for mirrorless interchangeable-lens cameras, allowing photographers to shoot with a single lens over a wide range of focal lengths, from 24mm to 400mm equivalent in 35mm format, from wide angle to telephoto. Furthermore, the overwhelmingly compact and lightweight design reduces the burden of carrying the lens. It can be easily carried anywhere, and is useful in a variety of shooting situations, such as travel.

- Excellent close-up shooting performance
When shooting wide-angle, the lens allows you to get as close as 22 cm (approx. 10 cm from the tip of the lens) to the main subject, which allows you to capture the subject together with the background. Telephoto shooting, with a maximum magnification of 0.46x (35mm film camera equivalent), is suitable for close-up photography and for expressions with a large blurred background. This versatile lens can be used with a single lens for a variety of subjects from indoor to outdoor scenes, including close-ups of children's facial expressions.

The lens boasts the same dustproof and drip-proof performance as the highly reliable "M.ZUIKO PRO" series lenses. When used in combination with a camera that is dustproof and drip-proof*, the lens enables shooting in harsh environments, such as sand, dust, rain, and splashes of water.

The camera is equipped with the MSC (Movie and Still Compatible) mechanism, which employs an inner focus system that moves a lightweight lens consisting of a single bonded lens piece for focusing. The short shooting time lag ensures that you will never miss an opportunity to capture a moment in time. The high speed and precision of the AF lens drive, despite being an all-in-one zoom lens, allows you to enjoy comfortable shooting.

Chromatic aberration and distortion are thoroughly suppressed throughout the entire zoom range by effectively arranging special lenses such as Super ED lenses and aspherical lenses. Furthermore, the use of ZERO coating significantly reduces ghosting and flare. The result is a bright, clear image from corner to corner.
