Product Features

A medium telephoto macro lens with a bright f/2.8 maximum aperture and a focal length equivalent to 122mm (35mm film camera equivalent). The first interchangeable lens for the “X series” to support equal magnification shooting.

- Floating focus system enables high image quality equal-size macro shooting.
The first interchangeable lens for the “X series” to support equal-size magnification shooting. By capturing a full-size image of the subject on the sensor, powerful macro photography is possible.
The lens employs a floating focus system in which the focus lens group is divided into a front focus group and a rear focus group and driven in accordance with the shooting distance, and the distance between the two focus lens groups is precisely controlled to minimize aberrations in all shooting ranges, including close-up, for high-quality image capture. Furthermore, a new mechanism has been developed to suppress the tilt of the two focus lens groups, resulting in high resolution performance that is uniform all the way to the periphery of the image.
Since the focus lens groups move inside the lens, the overall length of the lens remains constant. This allows you to enjoy macro photography without worrying about contact with the subject.

- High resolution performance
The lens construction consists of 16 elements in 12 groups, including one aspherical lens, three ED lens elements, and one super ED lens element. The aspherical lens suppresses spherical aberration, while the ED and Super ED lenses are well balanced to suppress chromatic aberration and achieve high resolution performance.

- Equipped with an image stabilization function to deal with shift blur
A new image stabilization function is provided to deal with shift shaking, which is more noticeable in macro photography. The gyro sensor and acceleration sensor precisely compensate for angular shake and shift shake to support hand-held shooting.
The camera's image stabilization performance is equivalent to 5.0 stops in accordance with CIPA guidelines.

- High-speed and silent AF
The linear motor provides fast and silent autofocusing for smooth macro shooting.

- High toughness performance
The lens barrel is sealed in 11 places to make it dustproof, drip-proof, and resistant to temperatures as low as -10℃. In addition, the front lens bead is coated with a fluorine coating to provide water and stain repellency. Combined with the FUJIFILM X-Pro2 and FUJIFILM X-T2 mirrorless digital cameras, which are dustproof, drip-proof, and resistant to temperatures as low as -10°C, the lens can be used outdoors in light rain or dusty environments with confidence.

- Compatible with teleconverter
The optional “FUJINON Teleconverter XF1.4X TC WR” and “FUJINON Teleconverter XF2X TC WR” can be attached to use the lens as a telephoto macro lens.
