Product Description
The G-SHOCK 40th Anniversary RECRYSTALLIZED series is a limited edition model of G-SHOCK, which has been pursuing toughness since its birth in 1983 and will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2023. For this special 40th anniversary model, stainless steel recrystallization and deep hardening treatment technologies were developed and applied to the first-generation DW-5000C and its full metal model, the GMW-B5000.
For the GMW-B5000PG, recrystallization and deep hardening treatment were applied to the bezel, band, and screw-back caseback, and furthermore, gold IP coating was applied to the bezel and band, and DLC coating to the caseback, resulting in a bold design. The dial is adorned with the words "SINCE 1983.
The back of the watch is coated with black IP, and the watch crown and the ring engraved with a star symbol representing the number "40" are coated with gold IP. Biomass plastic is used for the bezel and band to reduce environmental impact. In addition, the dial bears the name of the original G-Shock development team, "PROJECT TEAM "Tough".
The back of the watch is engraved with the 40th anniversary logo designed by Eric Hayes, who also designed the G-Shock 25th, 30th, and 35th logos, and the lower left button is engraved with a star mark, making it a special model in its own right.
