The 24mm (Model F051) has a minimum focusing distance of 0.12m, which allows the lens to focus extremely close. All of these lenses have a maximum magnification of 1:2, allowing photographers to get very close to their subjects, making objects that are close at hand larger and objects that are far away smaller, and thus emphasizing the sense of perspective that only a wide-angle lens can provide.

The ability to "get close" is one of the most important specifications of a wide-angle lens. The surprisingly high close-up shooting ability of this full-size compatible lens allows for a greater degree of freedom than ever before. Furthermore, even with wide-angle lenses that do not produce a large bokeh effect, getting close to the subject allows you to take pictures with a large blurred background.

- Compact, lightweight, ø67mm filter diameter system for superior mobility

The 24mm lens (Model F051) weighs an extremely light 215g, and the total weight of the three lenses is 645g, making them highly portable, allowing photographers to enjoy shooting without hesitation. It is also ideal for use with the Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD (Model A036) standard zoom lens and the 17-28mm F/2.8 Di III RXD (Model A046) ultra-wide-angle zoom lens, which are also part of the full-size mirrorless camera series, to expand the range of shooting options.

In addition, the three filters share the same ø67mm filter diameter with Tamron's full-size mirrorless zoom lenses, greatly reducing the burden of filter work such as PL and ND filters, and supporting smoother shooting. The front cap is also the same, eliminating the need to search for a cap with a different diameter when changing lenses, and thus alleviating stress during shooting, making this system highly convenient and mobile.

The advanced lens construction based on the latest design technology, together with the appropriate placement of special glass materials such as LD (Low Dispersion) lenses and GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) lenses, provides extremely high descriptive performance from the center to the periphery of the image. In addition, the use of the BBAR (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection) coating, which boasts excellent anti-reflection performance, significantly reduces ghosting and flare. On the other hand, distortion often seen in wide-angle lenses is corrected by utilizing the camera's own functions. The excellent resolution achieved by the uncompromising optical performance and the camera's aberration correction function allows the lens to be used with confidence not only for casual snapshots, but also for a wide range of other applications, including full-scale landscape and architecture photography.

- 64 mm in length for ease of use

The length of the three lenses is the same: 64 mm. The compact lens body is well balanced with Sony E-mount cameras and, despite the use of an extendable front element, is designed so that its length does not change during focusing. This reduces the risk of the ejected front element coming into contact with the subject when focusing for close-up photography, greatly contributing to ease of use when using the lens. In addition, the focus ring is positioned in front of the lens so that the index finger and thumb can be placed naturally on the ring for ease of operation during manual focusing.

- Silent DC motor "OSD" is adopted

An OSD (Optimized Silent Drive) with superior quietness is used for AF drive. Compared to conventional DC motors, the OSD has succeeded in significantly reducing drive noise, and has also greatly improved the accuracy and speed of AF. This provides excellent AF accuracy and tracking performance that enables precise focusing even when shooting moving subjects. The camera also supports "Fast Hybrid AF," "Pupil AF," and "Direct Manual Focus (DMF)," all of which are available on Sony cameras, to support more comfortable shooting.

The lens barrel is equipped with drip-proof seals at key locations, including moving parts and joints, to prevent water from penetrating the lens. In addition, the frontmost surface of the lens is coated with a fluorine compound that is water- and oil-repellent and stain-resistant. This coating is easy to wipe off water droplets, hand grease, and other contaminants, making the lens easy to maintain and ensuring reliable use as a single-focal length lens for close-up photography.
