- SIGMA TELECONVERTER TC-1401

The TC-1401 is a teleconverter specially developed to extend the focal length by 1.4x while maintaining the high level of performance of the master lens.

It is dustproof and drip-proof, making it suitable for the toughest professional shooting conditions.

The kit includes the SIGMA 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM Sports super-telephoto zoom lens and the SIGMA TELECONVERTER TC-1401, a dedicated 1.4x teleconverter.

- The SIGMA 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM SportsSports line offers the highest level of optical performance befitting its development concept. The definitive ultra-telephoto zoom lens with high mobility, robustness, and quality.

- The teleconverter developed exclusively for the SIGMA TELECONVERTER TC-1401 maintains the high level of performance of the master lens and extends the focal length by 1.4x. It is dustproof and drip-proof, making it suitable for the toughest professional shooting conditions.

Thoroughly corrects lateral chromatic aberration by adopting luxurious glass materials, pursuing the highest level of image quality.

Two FLD* ("F" Low Dispersion) glass elements and three SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements, which boast performance equivalent to fluorite, are used to minimize chromatic aberration. The use of special low-dispersion glass and other power optimization measures focus on correcting lateral chromatic aberration, which is noticeable at the telephoto end and does not improve even when the lens is stopped down. This has resulted in high image rendering performance throughout the entire zoom range.

* FLD glass is an ultra-low dispersion glass of the highest standard with excellent transparency that has the same performance as fluorite, such as extremely low refractive index and dispersion and high anomalous dispersion compared to conventional glass. This property is used to thoroughly eliminate residual chromatic aberration (secondary spectrum), which could not be eliminated by conventional lenses, to achieve extremely sharp, high-contrast, and excellent image rendition.

Flare and Ghosting

From the initial stages of lens design, thorough measures were taken to prevent flare and ghosting, and the lens is designed to be less susceptible to strong incident light, such as backlighting. The Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting and provides high-contrast images even when shooting in backlit conditions. The attached hood effectively cuts out harmful light that can adversely affect the lens's rendering and prevents internal reflections from occurring.

Thorough Pursuit of Essential Functions as an EQUIPMENT

The OS (Optical Stabilizer) mechanism, which employs an acceleration sensor to compensate for camera shake, provides more accurate image stabilization. The camera is equipped with two correction modes: image stabilization mode 1, which is suitable for general shooting, and image stabilization mode 2, which is ideal for streaming shots such as motor sports. In Mode 2, an acceleration sensor and the new Intelligent OS image stabilization algorithm enable effective image stabilization even when the camera is moved vertically or diagonally, regardless of the horizontal or vertical position of the composition, so that the movement of the subject can be expressed without losing the effect of fluid shooting. The camera will not lose the effect of the streaming image.

* This function cannot be used with film cameras other than Nikon F6 and Canon EOS-1V.

Newly designed tripod mount" for flexible fixing

Since the 600mm telephoto lens is often used with a monopod or tripod, the tripod mount has been redesigned. A large, stable tripod mount has been adopted, with clicks at every 90° angle to facilitate changes in shooting position between vertical and horizontal positions. The tripod mount can be attached to the camera with the included strap, allowing the camera to be carried without placing a burden on the camera mount.

Equipped with "Manual Override. Two full-time manual modes can be switched.

In addition to full-time manual focus, which allows switching from autofocus to manual focus simply by operating the focusing ring, the lens is now equipped with Manual Override (MO). When the focus switch is set to the MO position, manual focus can be switched to manual focus by rotating the focus ring even during continuous AF. By using the SIGMA USB DOCK (sold separately), it is possible to change the sensitivity at which the camera switches to manual focus when used in the MO position.
