The optical design of this lens allows it to capture every detail of an image superbly even when the aperture is wide open, and to provide exquisite contrast in close-up photography at any aperture value.
Aperture down to f/2.8 or f/4, the contrast is further enhanced, albeit slightly, and distortion is reduced to an almost imperceptible level.
This is an ideal recommended standard lens with a good overall balance.
