Capture the decisive moment with the highest high-speed continuous shooting performance in the history of the X series

- The newly developed "X-Trans CMOS 5 HS" sensor delivers approximately four times faster signal readout speed than the current model, enabling blackout-free continuous shooting at 40 frames per second. The X-Trans CMOS 5 HS sensor also enables phase detection information to be calculated three times more frequently than current models by independently controlling phase detection pixels when displaying images in live view during continuous shooting, enabling AF/AE tracking even during high-speed continuous shooting at 40 frames per second to ensure that the decisive moment is not missed.

- The large-capacity buffer memory significantly increases the number of consecutive images that can be recorded during continuous shooting. When using the electronic shutter, the camera can record more than 1,000 photos at a high speed of 30 frames per second for JPEG images and 20 frames per second for RAW files.

- Equipped with a high-magnification, high-resolution EVF with a viewfinder magnification of 0.8x and 5.76 million dots. The EVF suppresses image drift and distortion caused by misalignment of the pupil when using the viewfinder, ensuring high visibility. The smooth display frame rate of approximately 120 frames per second allows the photographer to accurately grasp the fast movement of the subject.

Significantly improved AF performance through algorithm renewal, etc.

- The inclusion of the X-Trans CMOS 5 HS and X-Processor 5 and the renewal of the predictive algorithm for AF have greatly improved the performance of tracking moving subjects, Zone AF, and the accuracy of AF in low-contrast environments. It can accurately capture moving subjects such as athletes and wild animals.

- While maintaining the conventional face and pupil AF, the camera is equipped with subject detection AF developed using deep learning technology. The new AI can detect animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, airplanes, and trains.

- The AF+MF function, which allows manual fine-tuning of focus after activating AF, is also applicable to movie shooting. This function enables more accurate tracking of even fast-moving subjects for movie recording.

Enhanced video performance to meet a variety of video production needs

- Supports 6.2K/30P and 4K/120P 4:2:2 10-bit video recording. High-definition video can be recorded while preserving rich color information. The camera is also capable of high-speed video recording at 4K/120P, enabling playback of smooth, high-definition slow-motion video of the split-second action of a quickly moving subject.

- The sensor readout speed during movie recording has been increased to 1/180 sec. By suppressing rolling shutter distortion, moving subjects can be expressed without discomfort.

- Three Apple ProRes codecs, ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes 422, and ProRes 422 LT, are newly supported. In addition, when shooting ProRes, proxy shooting such as ProRes 422 Proxy is also possible.

- Newly equipped with F-Log2, which expands the dynamic range to 14+ stops. This enables recording of images with richer tonal gradations, greatly increasing the degree of freedom in post-production.

- The new heat-dissipating structure significantly increases the recording time for video recording, enabling approximately 240 minutes of 4K/60P video to be recorded, meeting the needs of professional video production. By attaching the FAN-001 cooling fan (sold separately as an accessory), the camera can record for extended periods of time even in high-temperature environments.

Comfortable operability and powerful support for shooting in all scenes

- Equipped with a newly developed in-body image stabilization mechanism. The new sensing control function and other features detect and compensate for finer blurring to provide 5-axis stabilization performance of up to 7.0 stops (when the "FUJINON Lens XF35mmF1.4 R" is mounted). This enables comfortable hand-held shooting even in dark scenes such as sports scenes where the subject is actively moving or night scenes.
