A large aperture wide-angle single focus that achieves high resolution from an aperture of F1.4 while being dramatically smaller and lighter.

- The latest optical design employing an ultra-aspherical XA (extreme aspherical) lens and the high design standards of G Master achieve high resolution from the widest aperture to every corner of the screen. By effectively arranging two XA lenses, sagittal flare (blurring of the image of a point light source) is suppressed and a point light source is faithfully reproduced.

- Three ED (extra-low dispersion) glass elements are optimally placed to effectively correct chromatic aberrations that tend to occur with large-diameter lenses. Achieves sharp depiction across the entire screen

- Adopts Sony's proprietary Nano AR coating, which suppresses flare and ghosting even in landscape photography where sunlight easily enters, delivering high rendering performance with clear clarity.

- By adopting two XA lenses including the front lens and the latest optical design that takes advantage of the short flange back of the E-mount system, the diameter has been reduced, and by adopting the newly developed DDSSM (Direct Drive SSM), it is the lightest in its class. (*1) achieves 445g

- Adopts a circular aperture with 11 blades. Furthermore, by controlling spherical aberration in both design and manufacturing, we have achieved the soft, natural, and beautiful bokeh that is unique to G Master.

- Equipped with close-range shooting capability with a minimum shooting distance of 0.24m and a maximum magnification of 0.17x, it is possible to create expressions unique to a large-diameter wide-angle lens that greatly blurs the background while taking advantage of the sense of perspective.

- Equipped with a newly developed high-power DDSSM (Direct Drive SSM) that achieves high-speed, high-precision, and quiet AF

- Equipped with a customizable focus hold button, aperture ring, and click switch for high operability.

- By adopting "Linear Response MF" which achieves highly accurate focusing with little time lag, with operability similar to that of a mechanically linked focus ring, manual focus operation that directly reflects the photographer's intentions is possible.

- Designed to be dustproof and splashproof (*2), and features a fluorine coating on the front surface of the lens, ensuring high reliability to support field work.
