From the GA-V01 series, which focuses on the structure and design of G-SHOCK—a brand that continues to evolve in pursuit of toughness—
we present the TRANSPARENT PACK, featuring a design inspired by tech products from the Y2K era.
With an organic exterior form combining edgy components, a large full-screen LCD, and shock-release hands,
this series embodies G-SHOCK’s core identity of “strength” through innovative ideas that defy conventional wisdom.
The center case, which protects the module, is covered by an exterior component that integrates the bezel and band.
By placing large, three-dimensional indices on the surface of the glass, it also serves as a bumper to absorb shocks.
This allows us to maintain G-SHOCK’s unique shock resistance while achieving a unique and powerful exterior design.
We developed a magnetic holding structure that attaches the hands—which are susceptible to impact—using magnetic force rather than fixing them to a shaft.
The shock-release hand (minute hand) attached via this structure is held in place by magnetism, allowing it to absorb and dissipate any impact it receives.
Adopting this structure has made it possible to increase the size of the hands and expand design flexibility.
* Because the structure relies on magnetic force, the minute hand may wobble due to shocks or vibrations.
Additionally, immediately after being subjected to shocks or vibrations, or when exposed to strong magnetic fields, the minute hand may temporarily drift out of position, but it will return to its correct position within a few minutes.
The analog-digital combination face features a layered structure consisting of a dial with openwork (a technique that creates open sections)
and a full-screen LCD. The center features uniquely shaped hour and minute hands, while small hands are positioned within the LCD,
creating a bold, innovative design. New to the lineup are four colors featuring colorful skeletonized bodies,
which gained popularity in the early 2000s for electronic devices, toys,
and fashion accessories.
Thanks to the use of a high-capacity battery and reduced power consumption, this model offers a battery life of approximately 10 years while incorporating features such as an alarm and a light.
