While covering the equivalent range of 225-750mm in 35mm format, the lens combines compact size with extremely high descriptive performance throughout the entire zoom range, from the center of the image to the four corners.
This camera allows you to easily enjoy the world of super-telephotography, where the use of a tripod was the norm.
- Compact 750mm-equivalent (35mm format equivalent) super-telephoto
The Model A057 covers a super-telephoto range equivalent to 750mm, yet is compact at 209.9mm in length and ø93mm in maximum diameter. Even when extended to the telephoto end, the length is kept to approximately 284.9mm. The zoom ring has a small rotation angle of 75° from the wide-angle end to the telephoto end, allowing the photographer to quickly adjust the angle of view with minimal movement, ensuring that the photographer never misses a photo opportunity.
- Uncompromising descriptive performance
The lens is composed of 25 elements in 16 groups. The luxurious and effective use of one special XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion) lens, five LD (Low Dispersion) lenses, and two compound aspherical lenses thoroughly suppresses chromatic aberration on axis and other aberrations. In addition, since the Model A057 is designed for full-size mirrorless cameras, users can enjoy extremely high-quality image rendering performance from the center to the four corners of the image across the entire zoom range.

The Model A057 employs the VXD linear motor focus mechanism. The VXD mechanism enables high-speed, high-precision operation for comfortable focusing. The linear motor is less prone to vibration during AF drive compared to conventional drive systems, and the motor is quieter, making it suitable for taking still images and movies in quiet environments.

The Model A057 is equipped with the VC image stabilization mechanism while maintaining the small diameter of the lens barrel. It is equipped with a switch to switch between three correction modes (Mode 1: normal, Mode 2: dedicated for streaming shots, and Mode 3: focusing on framing), allowing you to select the best image stabilization mode according to your shooting conditions and preferences.
