The newly developed "center-of-gravity shift-less mechanism" prevents unexpected lens contraction, and the "multi-focus system" achieves extremely high resolution with no color blurring in front and behind the focus plane.

- In addition, the use of both "Nano Crystal Coating" and "Arneo Coating" effectively reduces ghosting and flare caused by any incident light, resulting in clear, crisp images even when a light source is present in the image.

- In addition, the camera is equipped with a Vibration Reduction (VR) mechanism that provides the highest image stabilization performance ever achieved by a NIKKOR lens for interchangeable lens cameras at 5.5 stops* (based on CIPA standards). The lens offers unparalleled descriptive performance for both still and moving images, greatly expanding the range of expression at the telephoto end of the range.
