A large-aperture telephoto zoom lens that delivers excellent optical performance comparable to that of a telephoto single-focal length lens.
This large-aperture telephoto zoom lens covers a wide range of focal lengths from 120mm to 300mm with a bright constant maximum aperture of 2.8.
In addition to being effective for shooting indoors and in other low-light conditions, the lens is capable of capturing images that take advantage of the contrast between the high resolution of the in-focus area and the beautiful bokeh effect.
In addition to one ED lens and two fluorite lenses, a newly developed SR lens is used in the optical system to significantly suppress chromatic aberration.
The VR mechanism with a 4.0-step image stabilization effect* (CIPA standard compliant) is equipped with a [SPORT] mode that makes it easier to track moving subjects. The enhanced motor drive control algorithm also improves AF tracking performance for subjects with rapid speed changes.
In addition to Nikon's unique “Nano Crystal Coating” anti-reflective coating, the NIKKOR F lens is the first NIKKOR F lens to adopt “Arneo Coating. This coating effectively reduces ghosting and flare caused by incident light and achieves stable ultra-low reflectivity across the entire visible spectrum, enabling clear, crisp images even when a light source is present in the image.
