- Ein kompaktes und leichtes Standard-Zoomobjektiv, das eine Brennweite abdeckt, die 24-72 mm auf einem 35-mm-Filmäquivalent entspricht. Im Vergleich zum Standard-Zoomobjektiv „EF-M18-55mm F3.5-5.6 IS STM“ (veröffentlicht im September 2012) erreicht das neue Objektiv ein kompaktes und leichtes Design mit ungefähr 62 % der Masse und 73 % der Gesamtlänge.
Durch die effektive Anordnung von drei asphärischen Linsenelementen wird neben der kompakten und leichten Kompaktbauweise eine hohe Bildqualität von der Bildmitte bis zum Bildrand erreicht.
- Das Objektiv kann verstaut werden. Ein Objektivaufbewahrungsmechanismus sorgt dafür, dass das Objektiv beim Tragen kompakt bleibt.
- Der Schrittmotor mit Leitspindel (STM) ermöglicht eine leise und sanfte Autofokussierung während der Filmaufnahme.
- Der STM bietet einen Bildstabilisierungseffekt von 3,5 Schritten* bei der Verschlusszeitumwandlung.
*Brennweite 45 mm (entspricht 72 mm im 35-mm-Filmformat) bei Verwendung von EOS M. Basierend auf CIPA-Standards.
Der maximale Durchmesser des Objektivs beträgt 60,9 mm, genau wie bei allen anderen EF-M-Objektiven der Serie, für ein schlankes, einheitliches und elegantes Design.
