This model, part of the GMW-B5000, GM-B2100, and GMC-B2100 series that inherit the octagonal form of the first-generation G-SHOCK model “DW-5000C, Efeatures a black finish on its iconic octagonal top bezel.
The black accents against the silver background emphasize G-SHOCK’s iconic toughness while offering a monochromatic design that pairs well with a wide range of styles.
The GMW-B5000BT features a mirror-finished top bezel and silver-coated glass, adding a refined sparkle to its rugged style.
The GM-B2100BT and GMC-B2100BT feature a hairline-finished top bezel, creating a subdued metallic look.
Furthermore, the indices are coated with silver vapor deposition to enhance visibility and create a striking contrast with the dial.
The stainless steel bezel is three-dimensionally formed through labor-intensive processes such as forging, machining, and polishing, resulting in a beautiful finish.
To achieve a full-metal shock-resistant structure, a fine resin cushioning material is incorporated between the bezel and the case.
Additionally, the metal band pieces feature a dimpled finish, paying homage to the resin band design of the original G-SHOCK.
Manufacturing takes place at the “Yamagata Casio EMother Factory, the birthplace of the first-generation G-SHOCK.
Furthermore, the stainless steel cases of the GMW-B5000BT and GM-B2100BT feature a screw-back case that ensures superior water resistance.
