The focal length of the Model B070 is 17-70mm (35mm film equivalent: 25.5-105mm), the world's first* APS-C size mirrorless large aperture F2.8 standard zoom lens with a 4.1x zoom ratio, which is extremely practical and wide.

- Superior Optical Performance
The lens construction consists of 16 elements in 12 groups, with two GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) lenses and one compound aspherical lens in a well-balanced configuration to maintain extremely high resolution performance throughout the entire image range, from the center to the periphery.

- VC image stabilization mechanism optimized for still and moving image shooting
Tamron's proprietary VC image stabilization mechanism is incorporated. The VC image stabilization mechanism and its more advanced algorithm have been designed and optimized for this lens, and an independent dedicated MPU (microprocessor) has been installed to provide a high degree of correction effectiveness. The lens can be used with either cameras equipped or not equipped with in-body image stabilization to achieve this correction effect. In addition, by utilizing AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology, the VC image stabilization system provides more considerate correction for movie shooting than the conventional VC image stabilization system.

- Equipped with the quiet stepping motor RXD
The RXD stepping motor is Tamron's proprietary stepping motor. It is quiet and effective for shooting still images and movies in quiet environments. The RXD provides comfortable, stress-free focusing from the wide-angle end to the telephoto end, with excellent focus tracking performance for moving subjects.

- Supports comfortable movie shooting by minimizing focus breathing
Focus breathing (a phenomenon in which the angle of view changes as the focus position shifts), which occurs during movie shooting, can be minimized. This allows for stress-free shooting and maximum expression of your creative intentions.
