The smooth bokeh effect in the background and the high-definition rendering of the subject's details enable iconic expressions with a sense of three-dimensionality. Combined with the natural perspective of a mid-telephoto lens, the lens can capture subjects clearly and impressively not only in portraits but also in snapshots of small objects. The lens is composed of nine elements in eight groups, with two ED lenses optimally positioned to correct chromatic aberration and deliver high resolution performance in all shooting ranges, from close-up to infinity.
