The SIGMA 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary has been popular since its release for its high basic performance and high image quality, and it maintains that performance while achieving a compact filter diameter of 67mm and a weight of 1160g for a 400mm class zoom. This compact and lightweight body is equipped with all the elements necessary for a super-telephoto lens, including an OS (Optical Stabilizer) mechanism that uses an acceleration sensor to compensate for camera shake, an HSM (Hyper-Sonic Motor) ultrasonic motor that uses the latest algorithms to achieve high-speed auto-focusing, and a focus limiter. The lens is equipped with all the elements necessary for an ultra-telephoto lens. Of course, it is also fully spec'd with expandability using the SIGMA USB DOCK.

- Compact yet uncompromised image quality

While the lens is compact, the pursuit of image quality is uncompromised: aberrations are corrected through the use of four SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements and the optimization of the lens power configuration. In particular, the lens focuses on correcting lateral chromatic aberration, which does not improve even when the lens is stopped down, to achieve high image rendering performance throughout the entire zoom range.

An acceleration sensor detects the direction of camera shake, and image stabilization works effectively even when the camera is moved vertically or diagonally, regardless of the horizontal or vertical position of the composition.
