Product Description.
This is a special model of the GMW-B5000 series, a fully metalized version of the first G-SHOCK "DW-5000C".
The pattern of the circuit board of the GMW-B5000 module "3459" is depicted with black IP and laser engraving. Laser irradiated before and after coating with Black IP. By dividing the laser engraving into two processes, a difference in texture is created, resulting in a finish with a sense of depth. The GMW-B5000 series uses "TranTixxii," a titanium alloy developed by Nippon Steel Corporation, which is light and gentle to the skin while being approximately twice as hard as pure titanium, and has a beautiful mirror finish comparable to that of stainless steel.
The GMW-B5000 series has a full metal case with a shock-resistant structure that sandwiches a fine resin buffer between the metal bezel and the main body case section. The size of the case has been maintained by high-density mounting technology. The back of the case is a heavy screw-back case with DLC treatment for superior abrasion resistance. The metal band piece is dimpled, inheriting the resin band design of the first model. Visibility is also improved with the use of a film solar cell and STN-LCD (liquid crystal display). In terms of functionality, the watch is equipped with a Bluetooth communication function and can acquire accurate time information through linkage with a dedicated application. Furthermore, the watch is equipped with a time correction system using standard radio wave (multi-band 6), stable drive by Tough Solar, fully-automatic LED backlight with high luminance, world time, day of the week display in six languages, and other practical features.
