The Model B060 is a full-fledged ultra wide-angle zoom that maintains a maximum aperture of F2.8 throughout the entire zoom range, yet is compact and lightweight for practical use. The 20mm telephoto end (35mm equivalent: 30mm), ideal for everyday use, can be used for snapshots and commemorative shots, while the 11mm wide-angle end (35mm equivalent: 16.5mm) can be used for powerful ultra-wide-angle shots, making use of its compact and lightweight ease of use and large F2.8 brightness in a variety of shooting situations, The compact, lightweight, user-friendly design and large aperture f/2.8 brightness allow photographers to enjoy an even greater degree of freedom in a variety of shooting situations.

With a length of 86.2 mm and a weight of 335 g, the lens is surprisingly compact and lightweight for a large-aperture F2.8 ultra-wide-angle zoom, allowing users to enjoy light shooting without being hampered by size or weight, even when combined with an APS-C size mirrorless camera body. This makes the lens comfortable to use not only for still photography but also for video shooting with a small tripod or gimbal.

The lens construction consists of 12 elements in 10 groups, with two GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) lenses in a well-balanced configuration to maintain high resolution performance throughout the entire image area, from the center to the periphery. In addition, one special XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion) lens and two LD (Low Dispersion) lenses are used to achieve clear image quality with excellent correction of various aberrations. The lens also features the BBAR-G2 (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection Generation 2) coating, which minimizes ghosting and flare to a greater extent than ever before and allows the photographer to capture the finest details of the subject, even in backlit conditions. This coating delivers overwhelmingly sharp and clear images.

The minimum focusing distance at the wide-angle side is 0.15 m (11 mm at the wide-angle end and 0.24 m (20 mm at the telephoto end)), which far surpasses the close-up shooting ability of conventional ultra-wide-angle zoom lenses. The maximum magnification at the wide-angle side is an astonishing 1:4, allowing you to enjoy wide macro photography that takes advantage of the perspective characteristic of ultra-wide-angle lenses, as well as expressions that take advantage of the bokeh effect created by the bright maximum aperture F value that only a large-aperture lens can offer.

The ø67mm filter diameter is the same as that of most of our Sony E-mount lenses, so PL filters, ND filters, and other filters, as well as lens caps, can be shared.
