From G-SHOCK, the toughness watch that has continued to evolve in pursuit of insatiable strength since its launch in 1983,
Casio is pleased to announce the release of its fourth signature model featuring Ryo Ishikawa, the youngest professional golfer to hold the record for the most prize money in Japan, and a member of Casio Computer Co.
The base model is the GM-2100, popular for its metal octagonal bezel.
The color scheme and design are different from the in-line model that is usually released.
The bezel is covered with a metal cover, and the dial is composed of golf-inspired greenery (with a golf ball dimple pattern in a watermark).
The band is made of resin for a comfortable fit.
The back of the watch is also engraved with Ishikawa's autograph and the message "GO FOR THE TOP" to aim high.
The design is cool and detailed, and can be used for both lifestyle and golf play.
Profile of Ryo Ishikawa, Casio Computer Co.
In January 2008, while still in high school, Ishikawa declared his intention to turn pro at the age of 16.
In November, he won the "Mynavi ABC Championship" for the first time as a professional, ranking 5th in the money ranking in his first year and becoming the youngest player in history to win 100 million yen.
In 2009, he won four times in Japan and became the youngest player in history to win the top prize money ranking.
In 2010, his "58" at the Chunichi Crowns became a Guinness World Record for the lowest stroke count in the world.
In 2019, he will become the youngest player in history to win 1 billion yen in lifetime prize money.
In 2022, he won the "Sumitomo Mitsui VISA Pacific Masters" for the first time in about three years, and his 18th victory on the tour. He is leading the Japanese golf world as a top professional.
