Product Features
From the G-SHOCK line of rugged watches—which has continued to evolve in pursuit of unrelenting durability since its launch in 1983—comes a model featuring a design motif inspired by the popular works of Katsushika Hokusai, the ukiyo-e artist who flourished during the Edo period and is widely known both in Japan and abroad. The design draws from “Yamashita no Hakku” (White Rain at the Foot of the Mountain), one of Hokusai’s masterpieces from his “Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji” series.
The base model is the iconic classic digital DW-5600, featuring a bold “Yamashita Hakku” design on the dial. When the LED backlight illuminates, it blends seamlessly with the dial to convey the grandeur of the artwork. The word “Japan” is engraved in kanji on the case back.
Furthermore, in homage to ukiyo-e, which originated in Japan, we have taken special care to ensure the watch is “Made in Japan.”
To appeal to a global audience, we have also paid special attention to the packaging, creating a unique design.
