With this single lens, you can capture beautiful memories of your travels.
Compared to the conventional lens (H-VS014140), which has an equivalent zoom range, the new lens is smaller and lighter, with a weight of 265g and an overall length of approximately 75mm (*from the tip of the lens to the lens mount reference plane), thanks to a review of the lens design. Furthermore, the lens is equipped with a high-grade metal exterior.

- Dual I.S.2" image stabilization system with 5-axis body (B.I.S.) and 2-axis lens (O.I.S.) image stabilization
Dual I.S.2" image stabilization system enables the camera's B.I.S. and O.I.S. functions to be linked in real time to control image stabilization.
Image stabilization control is possible by linking the 5-axis in-body image stabilization (B.I.S.), which corrects for vertical and horizontal angular shake (Pitch/Yaw), rotational shake (Roll), and vertical and horizontal translational shake (X/Y), with the 2-axis in-lens image stabilization (O.I.S.), which corrects for vertical and horizontal angular shake (Pitch/Yaw). The Optical Image Stabilization (O.I.S.) method, which corrects for vertical and horizontal angular blurring (Pitch/Yaw), is used to eliminate camera shake that occurs in all types of shooting situations.

- POWER O.I.S. optical image stabilization system
The "POWER O.I.S." optical image stabilization system uses a gyro sensor inside the lens housing to detect and compensate for camera shake. By detecting camera shake 4,000 times per second, it detects and corrects not only high-frequency shaking (fast, slight camera shake) but also low-frequency shaking (large, slow camera shake). This allows the camera to take beautiful pictures even when attached to cameras not equipped with Dual I.S. or cameras from other manufacturers, and even in situations where camera shake is likely to occur, such as zoom shooting or hand-held night scene shooting, by firmly suppressing camera shake.

- A maximum aperture of F3.5-5.6, which stops the movement of frequently moving subjects and suppresses camera shake when shooting at telephoto distances.
By optimizing the lens design, a bright F value of F3.5-5.6 was achieved despite the high-power zoom lens. It is possible to set a faster shutter speed and lower ISO sensitivity in dark scenes. It also contributes to stopping the movement of animals and other frequently moving subjects and reducing camera shake when shooting at telephoto distances.

The camera supports close-up shooting at the wide end (30cm) and macro shooting at the telephoto end (maximum magnification of 0.25x).

- Adopts a newly developed high-speed stepping motor to support AF driven at 240 fps.
This product uses a screw-integrated stepping motor for the drive system. A newly developed encoder is installed to provide real-time feedback control of the motor's rotation angle to achieve a motor speed approximately twice that of conventional models. The lead screw integrated with the motor shaft moves the focus lens directly without the use of relay gears or cams to achieve high focusing accuracy and support high-speed AF driven at 240 fps.

- High contrast rendering to the periphery of the image
The lens construction consists of 14 elements in 12 groups (3 aspherical lenses/2 ED lenses). The three aspherical lens elements are optimally positioned to improve peripheral resolution. High-contrast images can be obtained all the way to the periphery of the image. In addition, the ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lens thoroughly suppresses chromatic aberration, which causes color blurring and loss of contrast.
