The focal length of the Model B070 is 17-70mm (35mm equivalent focal length: 25.5-105mm), making it the world's first APS-C size mirrorless large-aperture F2.8 standard zoom lens with a 4.1x zoom ratio, an exceptionally wide zoom ratio that is highly practical.

- Superior Optical Performance
The lens construction consists of 16 elements in 12 groups, with two GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) lenses and one compound aspherical lens in a well-balanced configuration to maintain extremely high resolution throughout the entire image range, from the center to the periphery.

- An image stabilization mechanism that is effective when used in combination with Sony APS-C size mirrorless cameras, and AI technology can be used for correction during movie shooting
The Model B070 is equipped with Tamron's proprietary VC mechanism. The image stabilization mechanism and further advanced algorithm have been designed and optimized for this lens, and an independent dedicated MPU has been incorporated to provide highly effective correction.
The lens can be used with either cameras equipped with or without in-body image stabilization. In addition, by utilizing AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology, the VC mechanism provides better image stabilization than conventional VC mechanisms.

- Wide-End Minimum Focusing Distance of 0.19m
The minimum focusing distance of 0.19m is significantly longer than the conventional specification for an APS-C size standard zoom. At the telephoto end, the lens also offers sufficient close-up shooting performance of 0.39m, allowing users to enjoy powerful close-up photography.

The Model B070, while equipped with an image stabilization mechanism, has a compact design with a length of 119.3 mm, a maximum diameter of 74.6 mm, and a weight of 525 g. This allows the camera to maintain an optimal balance when used with Sony APS-C size mirrorless cameras.
