This monochrome color model of the GW-5000 inherits the DNA of the original G-SHOCK DW-5000C, born in 1983, and represents its authentic evolution into a radio-controlled solar watch.
It faithfully reproduces details from the first model, including the substantial metal case, screw-back, and face design.
While strongly inheriting the DNA of the original model, it pursues even greater toughness.
The metal case and screw-back feature DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating for enhanced scratch resistance.
Furthermore, the screw-back is mirror-finished to enhance its premium feel.
Additionally, biomass plastic, expected to contribute to reducing environmental impact, is used for key resin parts like the bezel and band.
This meticulously crafted model combines the original G-SHOCK design born in 1983 with advanced technology, finished to an even higher standard.
