G-SHOCK's top-of-the-line "MR-G
The MRG-B5000 is the MR-G version of the first G-SHOCK model, the DW-5000C, made of metal materials and meticulously finished. The intricately shaped bezel is composed of 25 parts. Each part can be polished to the finest detail, resulting in a higher quality finish. In addition, we developed a multi-guard structure with buffers between the bezel parts to increase strength. The case is made of high-hardness titanium based on 64 titanium, and the band is made of DAT55G, a titanium alloy with high hardness and excellent workability. The bezel top is made of "Cobalion," a cobalt-chrome alloy said to have a luster equivalent to platinum. The design of the DW-5000C features a beautiful silver color with a coating of titanium carbide, using both a hairline and mirror finish, and the brick pattern and red circle lines that are the identity of the DW-5000C are also inherited on the dial. In terms of functionality, the DW-5000C is also practical, with radio wave reception and Bluetooth® connectivity with smartphones.
