This lens meets Leica's strict optical standards and achieves a large aperture of F1.4 "SUMMILUX".
Two aspherical lenses are used to suppress spherical aberration, distortion, and other aberrations, while a single UHR lens is used to provide high descriptive performance despite its compact size.
The UHR lens uses a newly developed glass material with improved transmittance to achieve clear and crisp texture rendering.

In addition to high resolution and contrast, clear and crisp images are achieved. The proprietary nanosurface coating technology significantly reduces ghosting and flare, contributing to clear and transparent images. By forming a thin film with a nano-level microstructure and an ultra-low refractive index on the lens surface, reflection of light rays is reduced in the entire range of 380 nm to 780 nm, which includes the visible light range. Ghosting and flare are suppressed.

While enhancing the advantages of high precision focusing with AF control at 240 times per second and the contrast detection method, higher speeds are also achieved.
