G-SHOCK MR-G Series “FROGMAN” Titanium Case Model
- The MR-G series represents G-SHOCK's top-tier line.
The MRG-BF1000B is an MR-G model featuring a titanium case applied to the authentic diver's watch “FROGMAN,” which boasts ISO-certified 200m water resistance for diving, meticulously finished.
- FROGMAN debuted in 1993. While offering serious water resistance, its distinctive design—featuring an asymmetrical shape and a frog character on the screw-back case—made it a talking point from launch.
When translating this complex shape, originally designed for resin, into titanium for the MR-G, the parts were divided and meticulously polished down to the finest details to achieve a higher-quality feel.
Including the O-rings ensuring FROGMAN's high water resistance and the shock-absorbing cushioning, it is assembled from over 70 exterior components.
- The robust protective structure, featuring a multi-part bezel with fluorine rubber cushioning, not only mitigates impact but also incorporates a face guard function to protect the crystal.
The screw-back case back features a red vapor-deposited coating on sapphire crystal, beautifully depicting the frog character, the FROGMAN icon.
- The band utilizes titanium, finished with deep-layer treatment and DLC coating.
It features an extension mechanism, allowing wear over a wetsuit.
Additionally, the band can be easily replaced by pressing the button on the underside of the lugs while removing the side pins.
- Functionally, it incorporates Bluetooth® communication and radio-controlled solar power. Combined with three dual-coil motors enabling high-speed hand movement, it delivers stress-free operation.
- During diving, the hour and minute hands merge to display elapsed dive time (minutes), ensuring high visibility.
Furthermore, the dedicated app allows easy setting of tide data for over 3,000 locations worldwide.
You can also view your dive log on your smartphone and review the data measured by the watch in greater detail.
- The module features a gold-plated circuit retaining plate and is equipped with a dedicated MR-G module.
