Compact, lightweight, full-frame compatible large-aperture wide-angle single focal length lens with a focal length of 35mm.
The latest design has made the lens compact and lightweight, with a maximum aperture of 1.8, yet it weighs only 280g and measures ø65.6mm x 73.0mm.
Although the lens is full-frame compatible, it can be comfortably operated even when mounted on an APS-C body; when mounted on an APS-C body, the 35mm format equivalent is 52.5mm, making it ideal for portrait photography as well as snapshots.
The lens is equipped with a single aspherical lens element effectively positioned to suppress various aberrations and achieve high resolution all the way to the edge of the image. The 9-blade circular diaphragm maintains a near-circular shape for natural and soft blurring.
The minimum focusing distance is 0.22m and the maximum magnification is 0.24x, which enables close-up photography with high descriptive power even at close range.
A focus hold button allows you to assign your favorite functions to the camera via the body menu. The focus hold button allows you to assign functions such as grid line display for checking composition and white balance for adjusting color tones according to weather conditions and expressions.
