Product Description
G-SHOCK MASTER OF G series, "FROGMAN" with ISO-standard 200m diving water resistance, is now available with an analog display for the first time in the series.
The asymmetrical face design, which has been an icon of the series since its birth in 1993, is retained, while the home time, dual time display, and diving time measurement are all presented in analog form. The large luminescent hour and minute hands enhance visibility and allow the wearer to intuitively determine measurement information. In addition to the design, the new model has evolved in terms of materials, structure, and functions.
In terms of materials and structure, the carbon monocoque case and back cover are integrated into one piece. The carbon fiber reinforced resin has a low water absorption rate and is resistant to hydrolysis, thus boasting high water resistance and strength. The exterior construction takes advantage of the material's characteristics to achieve a dramatic evolution in toughness and a 22g weight reduction from the previous GWFD1000 series for improved wearing comfort. The band is made of fluoro-elastomer, which is resistant to stains and hydrolysis, and can withstand harsh environments.
In terms of functionality, the new module is equipped with a Bluetooth® system that eliminates the need for operations on the watch side. Together with three dual-coil motors for high-speed operation of the hour and minute hands and dual time hands, the new module realizes more stress-free operation. In addition, by downloading the dedicated "G-SHOCK Connected" application and linking it to a compatible smartphone, users can easily set the tide data for approximately 3,000 locations around the world that is built into the application. Furthermore, dive logs can be checked on the smartphone, allowing users to enjoy more detailed data measured by the watch.
The new FROGMAN is an all-round evolution in design, materials, construction, and functionality, while still being water resistant to ISO-standard 200m diving.
