The MR-G series is G-SHOCK's highest-end line.
The MRG-B5000 is an MR-G created by adopting metallic materials and meticulously finishing the DW-5000C, the first G-SHOCK model.
The bezel, which has a complex shape, is made up of 25 parts, allowing each part to be polished to the finest detail, resulting in a higher quality finish. In addition, a multi-guard structure is used between the bezel parts, with stainless steel plate springs, silicon, and other buffers to increase the strength of the bezel.
The bezel top is made of COBARION, which is approximately four times harder than pure titanium and is said to have a luster equivalent to platinum, while the case and bezel are made of 64 titanium, a highly hard titanium alloy. The Durasoft band made of fluorine rubber, which is comfortable to wear, is molded with titanium parts inserted at the mating part with the case to enhance its strength. The top of the band is decorated with the Shock-Resist mark, and the back of the band is decorated with the same brick-perm texture as the dial.
The dial inherits the identity of the first-generation DW-5000C-1B model, with its brick pattern and gold-colored circle lines.
In terms of functionality, the DW-5000C-1B is both practical and compatible with radio wave reception and smartphone linkage. The module is equipped with a dedicated MR-G module with a gold-plated circuit holding plate.
