Product Description
Based on the MTG-B2000, which combines a monocoque case made of carbon fiber-reinforced resin and metal materials, this model also uses carbon material for the bezel parts to reduce weight.
The carbon bezel is made by laminating carbon fiber and glass fiber sheets, creating a plate-like base material by heat pressing, and cutting and forming it from there.
In the MTG-B2000YBD, the bezel frame on the side of the watch is made of carbon. Compared to its stainless steel counterpart, the bezel frame weighs significantly less and is approximately 77% lighter. The top layer of carbon sheet on the bezel frame is layered and reinforced so that it wraps around the sides at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock, and the lugs are reinforced by wrapping the carbon sheet around the lugs in a cylindrical shape to enhance durability. The fiberglass layer is accented with red, the brand color of G-Shock. In addition, a "layered composite band" has been adopted, which allows the band to be interchangeable, and has succeeded in reducing weight while improving the texture of the metal.
In terms of functionality, the watch is connected to the dedicated "G-SHOCK Connected" application via Bluetooth® communication functionality to acquire time information. The watch is also equipped with multi-band 6, Tough Solar, and a high-luminance LED light for practical use.
