The MR-G series is G-SHOCK's highest-end line.
The MRG-B5000 is an MR-G model created from G-SHOCK's first-generation DW-5000C model using metallic materials and meticulous finishing. The bezel, which has a complex shape, is made up of 25 parts, making it possible to polish each part down to the smallest detail and achieving a higher quality finish. The bezel is made of a new shock-resistant structure called "Multi-Guard Structure," which is made of stainless steel plate springs and silicone buffers between the bezel parts to increase the strength of the watch. The band pins and bezel parts are coated with a blue IP coating on a black base coated with diamond-like carbon, inspired by the "blue ink" used in ink paintings and calligraphy. The face features a brick pattern, the identity of the first-generation DW-5000C model, with blue vapor deposition. In terms of functionality, the DW-5000C is also practical, with radio wave reception and Bluetooth® communication functions for linking it to a smartphone.
