An ultra-telephoto zoom lens with class-leading (*1) 5.0-stop (*2) image stabilization and a compact, lightweight design that allows users to enjoy the high image quality of the “X series” even when shooting hand-held in the ultra-telephoto range.

- Highest level of image quality in its class
The 14-group/21-element lens construction includes five ED lens elements and one Super ED lens element, which is comparable to a fluorite lens with superior optical performance, to thoroughly reduce axial chromatic aberration, resulting in the highest image quality in its class.
With a maximum magnification of 0.19x at the telephoto end, you can enjoy tele-macro photography (close-up shooting at the telephoto end of a telephoto lens or zoom lens).

- Class-leading 5.0-step image stabilization
The camera's image stabilization provides a class-leading 5.0 stops of image stabilization. When shooting at the telephoto end, at a focal length equivalent to 609mm on a 35mm film camera, stable handheld framing is possible and camera shake is greatly reduced. In addition, when the lens detects panning operation (* moving the camera horizontally for shooting), it automatically switches to vertical image stabilization only.

- High-speed, silent linear motor AF drive
A linear motor is used for high-speed, high-precision AF. This supports shooting of fast-moving subjects. It is also quiet, making it suitable for shooting at concerts and theatrical performances.
The focus limiter limits the range of lens movement when focusing, allowing faster AF by activating the focus limiter when shooting a subject at a distance of 5 m or more.

- Compact and lightweight design
The compact and lightweight design achieves a weight of less than 1.4 kg. Even when combined with the premium mirrorless camera FUJIFILM X-T1, it weighs less than 2 kg. In addition, the camera is designed to reduce the burden of hand-held shooting and carrying by pursuing the optimum weight balance when mounted on the body.

- Dustproof, drip-proof, -10°C low-temperature resistant construction and fluorine coating
The lens barrel is dustproof, drip-proof, and resistant to temperatures as low as -10°C, with a total of 12 locations and 13 sealing points on each part of the barrel. The lens barrel is dustproof, drip-proof, and resistant to temperatures as low as -10°C. It can be used safely even under tough outdoor shooting conditions.
- The front lens is coated with a fluorine coating that is resistant to dirt and easy to wipe off. The fluorine coating on the front lens is water-repellent, so you can take pictures even in dusty or water-damaged environments.

- Lens hood with locking mechanism and polarizing filter control window
A sliding polarizing filter control window is provided on the lens hood so that the polarizing filter can be operated even when the hood is attached.
A hood lock mechanism locks the hood when it is attached, eliminating the risk of the hood accidentally falling.

- Compatible with 1.4x teleconverter
The already released FUJINON Teleconverter XF1.4X TC WR (sold separately) can be attached. When attached, the teleconverter covers a focal length range of 140mm to 560mm (35mm film equivalent: 213mm to 853mm) with a maximum aperture of 6.3 to 8. Phase detection AF shooting is also possible when the lens is attached.
