EU/EEA customers have a statutory right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days from the day they receive the goods, where required by applicable law.

How to Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us within the applicable withdrawal period by using our withdrawal form or by contacting us at support@animota.net. Please include your name, order number, and the item(s) you wish to withdraw from.

Condition of Returned Goods

The right of withdrawal does not mean that goods may be freely used and then returned for a full refund. You may inspect the goods only to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and condition, in the same way you would be allowed to inspect them in a physical store.

If the goods are handled beyond what is necessary for such inspection and their value is reduced, you may be responsible for the diminished value. In such cases, we may deduct the diminished value from your refund where permitted by law.

Refunds May Be Reduced in the Following Cases

  • The item has been opened and can no longer be resold as an unopened item.
  • The item has been used, displayed, worn, assembled, damaged, stained, or altered.
  • The product, outer box, inner packaging, blister pack, protective film, tag, seal, or other packaging has been damaged, opened, discarded, or is missing.
  • Accessories, manuals, bonus items, parts, certificates, or other included items are missing.
  • The item has odors, stains, scratches, tobacco smell, perfume smell, pet smell, or other signs of use.
  • The item or packaging is damaged due to insufficient return packaging.
  • The resale value of the item has decreased due to handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the item.

Collectible Goods

For collectible goods, including figures, plush toys, character goods, trading goods, and similar items, the outer box, tags, seals, blister packs, accessories, bonus items, and packaging may form an important part of the value of the goods. If these are opened, damaged, missing, discarded, or stained, the refund amount may be reduced.

Return Shipping Costs

Customers are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods when exercising the right of withdrawal, unless otherwise required by law. We may refuse cash-on-delivery returns or returns sent without our prior instructions or approval.

Customs Duties, VAT, Import Taxes, and Carrier Fees

Customs duties, VAT, import taxes, carrier handling fees, customs clearance fees, and any other import-related charges are not included in the product price or shipping fee. These charges are the customer’s responsibility.

Even if you exercise your right of withdrawal, return an item, cancel an order, refuse delivery, or fail to collect the package, customs duties, VAT, import taxes, carrier handling fees, customs clearance fees, and other import-related charges already incurred are non-refundable by us. Please contact your local customs office, carrier, or relevant authority regarding whether any import-related charges can be refunded.

Refusal of Delivery or Failure to Collect

Refusal of delivery, failure to collect a package, failure to pay customs duties, VAT, import taxes, or carrier fees, an incorrect or incomplete address, or expiration of the carrier’s storage period will be treated separately from the standard withdrawal process.

If a package is returned, abandoned, destroyed, confiscated, or otherwise not delivered due to any of the reasons above, we may deduct return shipping fees, carrier fees, storage fees, customs-related charges, re-import fees, and any other costs incurred from any refund where permitted by law. If the package is not returned to us, we may not be able to issue a refund.

Refund Processing

Refunds will be processed after the returned goods arrive at our designated return address and after we inspect the condition of the goods. Refunds will be issued through the original payment method. The time required for the refund to appear in your account depends on your payment provider, card issuer, bank, or payment service.
